To: State of Missouri Department of Corrections Board of Probation and Parole Subject: Parole Protest for Peter Newman, Offender 01206755 Dear Parole Board Members, I have been made aware of Peter Newman's crimes against multiple children in multiple jurisdictions over many years. The amount of harm and damage this man's actions have had on thousands of people, both direct victims of his grooming and abuse and indirect victims through vicarious trauma, is immeasurable. It is unsafe for him to be freed from prison or granted parole. Therefore, I strongly oppose Pete Newman's release from prison. I implore you to consider denying parole and delaying parole as long as legally possible to protect his victims and all citizens, especially children, everywhere. Every time survivors and their allies have to react to updates on Newman, such as his chance at parole, it retraumatizes countless people. Thank you for your consideration and reading of this statement.
